Welcome to your new routine!

You are ditching the products that promise to save you from your own body’s shortcomings and embracing the fact that your body always works WITH you, and communicates through symptoms.

Breathe a sigh of relief as you finally side with your body and commit to supporting and nourishing instead of controlling and coercing.

Choosing this journey means loving devotion to learning about what THRIVING skin really looks like, and choosing habits that supports your body. LET’S GO!

  • Use the ALL IN ONE bar as your shampoo.

    *Best used in the shower

Wet your hair thoroughly. Lather the bar in your hands, or directly on your scalp. Concentrate ONLY on your scalp and roots. Do not use soap directly on the lengths and ends of your hair. Once lather forms, leave your bar on the soap tray and use your fingers to massage the lather throughout your scalp and hair.

RINSE hair completely. This step is crucial, as this bar of soap is very concentrated and deeply nourishing, so ALL the lather and soap must be completely rinsed off the length of the hair.

Your hair health will determine how often you need to wash, so if you need more info, please email Liezl.

  • CLEANING:

Use pure WATER as your morning cleanser. Your skin is clean after you sleep, and you want to keep your skin barrier and microbiome undisturbed to protect you during the day.

Only use ALL IN ONE bar on your face if you have to remove visible dirt. Do not use a washcloth or any harsh fabric. Hands and water work well.

ESSENTIAL bars are ideal for use on hands, under arms, feet and groin area. Only use on the rest of the body if dirt is visible.

MOJO OIL is ideal as a makeup remover. A couple of drops on a cotton pad dissolves makeup but keeps the skin barrier intact.

    NOURISHING:

Use TALLOW BALM or MOJO OIL as your morning moisturizer. Take a small amount and smooth all over your face. Both works great on dry skin on the body. ONLY use this if you need nourishment. Check in with your skin daily. If it feels normal and comfortable, DO NOT bombard it with product. Leave it be and enjoy the protection it provides.

Keep Tallow Balm in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight.

Try giving your skin a break from foundation and powder. These chemicals disrupt your skin. (as xenoestrogens)

MOJO OIL as your evening moisturizer so you don’t disturb your skin’s desquamation process (natural exfoliating action) while sleeping.

  • When switching over from harsh commercial products to our approach, there will be an adjustment phase of about a month. (exact time will be determined by the state of your skin health, and the type of products you used)

Exfoliating unnaturally speeds up cellular turnover. When you stop, your skin slows to its natural turnover rate — a twenty eight-day cycle — which could lead to clogged pores or dull skin as your cells adjust.

Drying or “oil control” cleansers: your skin has likely learned to produce extra oil to make up for it and will be a little oilier than usual until it has adjusted.

Water based moisturisers may gloss over skin, making it FEEL moisturised, but it’s a temporary effect.

Hyaluronic Acid: Short-term, the humectant draws moisture from the inner layer of the skin to the outer layer, creating the surface-level look of hydration. However, that surface-level moisture soon evaporates. Over time, continued use of HA slowly siphons the skin’s internal moisture stores, leaving the dermis dehydrated and dependent on a cocktail of other creams and oils and essences to retain basic moisture levels. Therefore, it is very important to stop using all serums and actives that only provide short term effects.

Give your skin plenty of time to adjust. Only use water to wash, or MOJO oil to remove makeup, and hydrate with the Tallow Balm when needed.

Be patient, your skin will recover soon.

When adjusting to the ALL-IN-ONE shampoo bar, a lot of factors can influence your experience, including, but not limited to, hair type, water used, hormone health, pipes carrying your household water, chemical colour or bleach in your hair. Please email Liezl if you have any questions.
